Meditation and the Power of Binaural Beats.
Even those who have never heard of binaural beats have elementary knowledge of meditation though it may be slightly misguided.
Although meditation is becoming more popular in the western world it has been practised for thousands of years in the East. It is only recently that binaural beats have been used to create the same effect.
Over the centuries, and even in modern times, meditation has been used as a means of becoming still enough to recognise our connection with Divinity. Although many religious creeds advocate its use it is not only confined to spiritual uses.
Although meditation is a great tool for spiritual growth it is by no means confined to only that usage. Modern research has concluded that mediation has, not only, a profound positive effect on the mind but that it has many physical healing benefits.
Although meditation has its roots in Eastern cultures it is extremely popular now in many Western cultures due to its ability to calm the mind and body and reduce stress. Much research in the West has also discovered that meditation has immense healing attributes for mind and body. It can bolster the immune system and speed recovery times after surgery as well as help dealing with psychological issues.
Meditation has many different forms and disciplines but they all produce the same benefits. Although meditation has enormous benefits to mind and body it does have one weakness - it takes years to learn to do it correctly!
Over the years science has investigated the phenomenon of meditation and discovered that deep meditators exhibit very specific brainwaves. After the affects that binaural beats have on the brain was understood it wasn't long before they were being produced to create identical mental states to those experienced in deep meditation.
Binaural beats can now be purchased that will allow anyone to experience extremely deep states of meditation with minutes merely by listening to them through stereo headphones.
Although binaural beats were discovered in 1839 it wasn't until the 1970s that their ability to create specific brainwaves was found.
Through the use of carefully constructed binaural beats deep states of meditation can be entered into within minutes. Before the availability of binaural beats to do this the only other option was to spend many, many years practising the art of meditation. Binaural beats means you can do it in minutes now.
To use sound for creating deep states of meditation it is necessary to have two tones that are different only in frequency. When these sounds are merged they create binaural beats in the brain. Let me explain.
Binaural Beats are created when one ear hears one sound while the other ear hears the other sound. As the two sounds only vary in their frequency the brain thinks it is hearing one sound but with beats. These binaural beats do really exist except as an illusion created by the brain. As the binaural beats are heard the brain begins to create brainwaves at exactly the same frequency as the binaural beats!
Thus binaural beats can be used to create exactly the same mental, or brainwave, state as someone practising deep meditation!
Binaural beats offers an extremely easy way to enter deep states of meditation. However, I am sure there are some of you who will still wish to try it the traditional way.
There are many different ways to enter a state of meditation that involve chants, focusing on an object in your mind, contemplating a question or even just letting your mind race and watching the thoughts go by without any attachment.
As we live in the 21st Century it seems only fitting that we use a 21st Century means of accessing the state of meditation. However, if you wish to experiment with this art right now you can do it by first relaxing, then closing your eyes and merely contemplating a particular problem in your life. As you begin to dissect this problem ask yourself questions and ask questions about the answers you are getting until you feel satisfied.
Meditation is like anything else in life - you can read about all you like but until you experience it, it is just theory. Try it for yourself. Get some binaural beats and start to experience the benefits of this ancient art with a new high-tech tool.
